Maid to Lead

Inside you there is untapped potential – potential for growth, potential for change, and potential for leadership. Through our Maid to Lead program, we will focus on our budding leaders and helping them to hone in on that potential. Maid to Lead is a NEW program that launched 2 years ago to help identify the Maids of Athena leaders of the future!

The third annual Maid to Lead Program is underway! The Grand Lodge has identified a large group of leaders within our organization and sent out official nominations. Based on their performance and contributions, nominees will be eligible to be selected to participate in our Maid to Lead conference in Washington, D.C. The conference will focus on team-building, leadership skills, and knowledge sharing. Once these young ladies accept their nominations, they will be divided into five committees which will each be led by an officer on the Grand Lodge.

This is a selective program and not all nominees will be chosen to participate. As such, it is important for nominees to focus on all they can contribute to our national committee work. Nominees will get the opportunity to work alongside Grand Lodge members and have clear insight into Lodge. The experience will be incomparable and important for those thinking about running for Lodge in the future.

Wellness

The wellness committee will be tasked with finding ways to incorporate athletics into our Order, whether through events, challenges or other means. As an organization, it is important that we recognize the qualities and characteristics that wellness help build in our members, and motivate our sisters to be leaders in all aspects of life.

Constitution

The constitution committee will be focused on our revising and editing the constitution to make it more up to date with our Order.

Scholarship & Leadership

The scholarship and leadership program focuses on promoting and improving our Maids of Athena Scholarships while educating our members in various leadership roles, and promoting networking within our Order.

Events & Fundraising

The events and fundraising committee will be focused on planning events and brainstorming fundraising opportunities for the MOA.

Marketing & PR

The marketing and public relations committee is responsible for crafting ideas to ensure that the Maids of Athena are recognized publicly. They will also be in charge of growing our social media platforms, reviewing or website, and helping make the MOA grow to its greatest potential.
